RLS families, please join SHUSD for a screening of La Estrella film Parent Night, Monday, February 23 from 5:30-6:30 @ The PAC. This is a bilingual film and conversation about the effects and impacts of counterfeit prescription pills on real families. Listen, this is scary stuff, no doubt. It's also real and it's important to stay informed. ![]() In other news, our RLS Olympics are well underway...thank you Leadership and Yearbook! I have placed some pictures below...ask your students about their performance and involvement! Each and every one of our English Learners received a personalized phone call from our staff this past week to help families better understand the criteria, where their student currently is performing, and what the upcoming assessment will look and feel like. We will be conducting similar personalized communications as other State assessments are conducted. Gum tastes so great and helps avoid rough conversations...and it decimates school property and creates a sticky mess. Please help us in addressing this with students. Students caught chewing gum will be given a lunch intervention with campus beautification...and a phone call home. Thank you for your help! 8th-Grade Families Only- As a reminder, students cannot have more than 4 F's total or fail Math/ELA twice between trimesters 2 and 3 and still participate in the promotion ceremony. Additionally, any student suspended more than 3 days over the course of this school year cannot participate in the promotion ceremony and promotion celebration. We offer after school study hall four times per week in addition to two access classes every Tuesday. We partner with Aldea and UpValley to provide support for students struggling with behavior and peer relations. Contact Ms. Hernandez or Mr. Ryan for more information. Yosemite- PLEASE, WE WANT YOUR STUDENT TO JOIN US...IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, REACH OUT TO ME NOW. 707-967-2725 or Ajryan@sthelenaunified.org Stay tuned....GIVEBIG information coming up! Our students, teachers, and parent partners have been working TREMENDOUSLY HARD to put together a fun, engaging, and exciting series of events and communications to entice involvement at any and ALL levels. Give what you can...it all COUNTS! Have a great week! Link to Parent Square Calendar and our website. | ||
