Week of April 21, 2025

“Stopping at third adds no more to the score than striking out. It doesn’t matter how well you start if you fail to finish.” —Billy Sunday

Let's do this, RLS! We appreciate working with you to support your student finishing the year successfully!

This week we had Congressman Mike Thompson visit our 8th grade students and answer some pretty in depth questions! Our track team competed in a multi-school meet @ SHHS on Thursday. Our 8th grade families were able to visit SHHS on Wednesday evening for incoming 9th grade night! Parent Group convened and continued their amazing support of our students and staff, also sharing their plan for Staff Appreciation week! On Thursday, our WEB leaders hosted a 6th grade activity @ lunch, some winners are below!
All in all, it was a busy week as we gear up for testing, final projects, and Promotion!
If Easter's your thing, I hope you had a chance to celebrate with family and friends!

AVID Word of The Month

April-

Conventions

RLS Blue Devils, our word of the month is convention.  Convention is the way something is usually done or a large meeting or gathering.  Pop quiz? What convention connects two complete sentences?  What convention is thrown at the end of every month thanks to leadership and Ms. Vicki?  Did you get them right? Then it’s time for a convention.
