Yosemite Information night was successful with over 25 families in attendance! If you didn't make it, you can always reach out to me and ask your questions.
A few that came up were:
1-Will you receive a packing list? Yes! A local store will often provide a discount to this end, however don't feel obligated to go buy everything new!
2-Can students bring a first aid kit of their own? No, sunscreen and bug spray are okay. Our guides have full first aid kits with each group, complete with AED machines. Also, any medication your student takes will be administered by the school. More to come on this.
3-Do we still hike the caves (asked by an alum, clearly!)-Yes the Indian Cave is still accessible but the Spider Cave is closed to the public.
4-Chaperone tent cabins are intermixed with student tent cabins, roughly 1 adult every 2 or 3 student shelters.
5-When will we receive more information? After spring break you can expect behavior expectations, permission slips, medical information, and a packing list from me.
More to come!

7th grade Families-Ms. Vicki will be teaching health and wellness education April 14, 15, 16, and  18 to our 7th grade students. This is a state mandate and prepares students for the human sexuality unit in the 8th grade. Permission slips coming this week.

AVID Word of The Month

March- Clarify

Devils that are Blue, your AVID word of the month is Clarify. Clarify means understanding something that first seemed complicated. Often a teacher will clarify a concept that was misunderstood.

“Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth”

Let me clarify, be grateful for the gift you received. Don’t complain.

When confused in class, ask a teacher or classmate to clarify.

This Week in ACTIVITIES and "Caught you demonstrating..."
