RLS Families- You know it's nearing the end of the school year when testing is coupled with all sorts of celebrations! Each day feels like a massive achievement! This Monday, 5/4 we begin the California standardized assessment called the CAASPP in student's ELA classes. We have our Spring Choir performance on Thursday, 5/7 @ the PAC! Come check out these amazing performers and performances! Repeated but important: 8th grade families, as we near the end of the year, I'll be speaking with 8th grade students to remind them of end-of-the-year timelines, behavior, and Yosemite reminders. As you continue to put together your students list of items for Yosemite, remember if you don't have something, we can assist in getting it for you. There is no need to buy new items or decline to go because you don't have them. Any 8th grade student who is suspended for an infraction that occurred on or after May 1 will not be able to attend the promotion party after the promotion ceremony. Thank you! |
8th Grade information: PROMOTION INFORMATION:

AVID Word of the Month-
May’s word of the month is Interpret: to explain the meaning of something (information, words, or actions). Remember your first day in 6th grade. Unsure of where to go and what to do. You needed to interpret every direction given to you through your actions.
Coming up on Tuesday, May 19th on our front lawn is the annual Civil War Wax Museum in Ms. Marinace's class! Check out this press release her students wrote and pictures from previous exhibits!
