Week of November 17, 2025
At RLS, our mission, is to ensure that all students learn at grade level or higher
Thanksgiving Break-NO SCHOOL Monday, November 24-Friday, November 28! 

RLS Community-We made....Trimester I in the books and the Holidays right around the corner. Buckle up, it's going to get busy! 
As a reminder, we do not have school Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28. The office will be closed during this time. 

The canned food drive continues this week-thank you for helping us meet the needs of our community. 

GOING FORWARD-rather than list Dates On The Horizon-I have linked our Parent Square Calendar below that is updated daily. Additionally, Mr. Samuels' evening bulletin will continue to have dates that week and upcoming.

This Week in ACADEMICS
Ask your student to see one of their Thinking Maps! Ms. Simon, Ms. Corsino, and Ms. McGough have been leading the charge with these research backed instructional strategies and training SHUSD staff.  
Speak with your student after Tuesday this week and see what they learned about their RLS staff and their career/education/training background!

November - CONSTRUCT

Good morning RLS Scholars! Have you ever built a creation with legos? What about a model airplane or a layered burrito?  Well, then you, my friend, have demonstrated our word of the month for November. Can you guess it?  CONSTRUCT!  How are you using the word CONSTRUCT in your classes? What do you CONSTRUCT at school? At home? In your relationships? Be ready to show what you know at lunch and in your classes!
